Our client is a large Healthcare company with the corporate or centralized IT Department located in the Rancho Cordova area.  We have 20+ open Full Time Employee positions (and more opening in 2009)  for Epic Business Analysts in various modules to include:  Ambulatory, ASAP (emergency department), Pharmacy, HIM, EHR Link (Epic web applications such as Mychart), Orders, Clinical Documentation, Document Imaging (a little different than Epic - Hyland Onbase software).   Our client will be hiring these positions for the rest of 2008 and continuing in 2009. For each of these positions, we are looking for people with the following:

Certified in the relevant Epic module for that position

Must have some form of software implementation experience

Very highly desirable to have Epic implementation experience in that module

Must know hospital or clinical operations or clinical setting around the function healthcare function for the relevant application module

Epic Build experience, master files, smart tools (for some positions), etc.

Experience supporting end users of the application

Technical aptitude or actual technical experience (varying degrees required depending on the position).

Additional more module specific requirements:

For the HIM positions: Revenue Cycle side of the business, RHIT or RHIA certified a plus, Medical records or health information management experience and knowledge

For the Ambulatory positions: Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic setting, Epic back end application build experience,

For the pharmacy positions: experience as a pharmacy tech or a pharmacist

For Orders and clinical documentation positions: RNs with technical experience or software implementation experience or usually highly preferred.

The EHR Senior Business Analyst implements and supports assigned applications from both the application-user and technical perspectives. They are considered experts in the EHR application as it functions for clinical users and will provide application and some technical support for the product line in addition to providing triage and troubleshooting assistance to the product customers and Help Desk staff. They will be responsible for the build of the application function for which they are certified and because of the integration of the application and its individual functions, will be expected to work in concert with other analysts in the ongoing build and support of the system. The Sr. Business Analyst works closely with other IT department groups as well as their vendor counterpart and may assist with some of the technical aspects of product implementation/rollout and support. The incumbent will monitor the systems for data quality, efficiency, operation, and data integrity across the various application functional components - (HIM, ED, Orders, Documentation, Pharmacy, Ambulatory processes). This position assists in critical work in system analysis, design, development, documentation, and configuration as well as testing and training of the product.  It is critical this incumbent has a thorough understanding of revenue cycle, billing, hospital inpatient, clinic outpatient operations, along with understanding the technical environment of product lines they are responsible for. This position will manage and or participate in implementation projects as well as major installations of the project supported.
